It determines whether a cornea has sufficient strength to withstand ophthalmic surgery and helps select the appropriate technique for astigmatism, hyperopia, keratoconus, or presbyopia surgery. The equipment delivers an air pulse to the cornea and measures its displacement using two infrared cameras. It measures the corneal resistance factor and corneal hysteresis.
